hindi ko naiintindihan kung ano ang gusto mong mangyari. akala ko kilala na kita. nagkamali ako. tama ang sinasabi ng iba tungkol sayo. hindi ko sila pinakinggan dahil ang buong akala ko kilala kita. hindi ka magsisinungaling sa kin. hindi ka magtatago. siguro nga wala kong karapatan malaman ang lahat sa buhay mo, pero mali ka pa rin sa mga ginagawa mo. wag mo kong intindihin. wala kang kargo sa kin. ano ba naman yung tiwala lang ang masira. hindi ko lang lubos maisip na kinaya mong gawin to. tsk. ayoko na. bahala ka na sa buhay mo. hindi na kita pakikialaman. sana lang tigilan mo na rin ako. yun lang.

i've thought it through... best plan so far... i'll go with the flow but this time, hopefully, with caution, hopefully, with less expectations.

in the year that passed, i'm just thankful that i was granted a blessed and fruitful year... with me and my family in good health, with close friends that keep me company through both fun and rough times, meeting new people, seeing old ones... that's what i'm most thankful for... and i can't wish for anything else but more years of these. so cheers! ;)

this year valentine's day fall on a saturday. which means lovers and the like have the whole weekend to celebrate. i on the otherhand had super fun celebrating it for 3 days with the company of my closest friends. sorry for the long post. i just wanna share. :D

day 1. friday.
after a busy busy day at work, i hurriedly took a cab to mall of asia to catch boyce avenue perform. came there on time and met eez first. since we don't know how the mini concert will go, we went to the venue to check. it seemed that restos overlooking the concert area requires customers a minimum consummable fee to be sitted on a nice spot, says so by this girl staff of a seafood resto there. having almost started a heated conversation between eez and the said girl, we scanned the place for other restos with better view. but unfortunately this seafood resto had better seats and food to offer than the others. so we settled. after a few minutes, this girl staff popped out from nowhere and the weird conversation went as follows:

girl: kilala ba kita? with a serious look on her face that made me and eez uncomfy that made us wanna run.. hahaha
me: hmmm...
girl: friend mo ba sister kong si mabel?
me: ahmmm... wala akong kilalang mabel e
girl: you look familiar kasi e
me: familiar ka din sa ken e... ano bang name mo?
girl:
me: ahhhhhhhh... hi ex ako ng brother mo

hahaha! talk about awkward... but wait there's more! after that awkward moment, we were asked by the same girl to transfer on a better spot... so even if i was a bit startled for about 15 minutes or so, we definitely gained something better out of it. hahaha! after that jeff and tupe came and learned about what happened. of course, it was embarrassing for me but to hell with embarrassment.. it gave us better view of the concert so what the heck.. hehehe. dinner was great i think. none of us have eaten there before so we just rely on the best sellers on the menu. luckily, everything we ordered were all good. after dinner, we went to chocolat for our much awaited desserts... death by tablea, deep dark classic, and cherry cheesecake. i have tasted deep dark classic before and i sooo luuuuvet! the cherry cheesecake is good as well.. but the death by tablea... OMG! i can literally die eating that. why? because i will not stop eating it despite the fact that i will have a hard time breathing after due to its strong chocolatey goodness. amf! that piece of cake is torture for me. really. why am i cursed with this?!?! huhuhu.

day 2. saturday.
we're off to san fernando to visit a friend. it's been two years since that tragic moment. eventhough sometimes i still can't believe it happened, i know we all have to move on. and so there... we were fetched at the terminal by his parents and cute niece. then went straight to his remains and stay there for a few hours. that is our routine yearly... his anniversary... his birthday. maybe we'll never get tired of it... because being with his family there makes me feel we're with him again. oh well, i hope he really is at peace wherever he is now. we just miss him a lot.

after the visit.. mau and i set off to clark to checked in at the hotel that we will be staying at overnight. i think that trike driver charged a lot for driving us there. 100 pesos he said... because it's in the friendship road... wtf?!?! the hotel's not that far. well i guess that's what we get for not researching enough on the how to's on taking a trip there.. at least we get to the hotel safe... hahaha! anyways, after we settled in our room, freshen up, finished a pinoy mushy movie, we're off to see the hot air balloon night glow. travelling at clark on commute is pretty tiring though. from our hotel, we have to take a jeepney ride back to clark main gate and then take another jeepney ride to air force city, and locals don't seem to know that it's the hot air balloon fest season there. hehehe. we arrived at AFC a bit late though. the balloons were all blown up and they started the night glow... so i hurriedly set up my tripod and cam... unfortunately, i only got a few ok shots from it. i don't care though because i'm so happy to see the balloons afloat and not just lying around like last year. i think it's a good start.

we settled at razon's for dinner. it's a good thing the booth has space inside for customers because everywhere outside was packed with expectators from the event. and so we ate there and chat. there was this lola sitting with us at the table. i can't remember from where or how we started talking to her but we did and we found out that she was the owner of razon's in pampanga. talk about rubbing elbows with a celeb ei? hahaha! well she's not a real celebrity but owning a business that's so famous here in manila makes her one in her own right.. right? mau and i were simply starstrucked. hahaha! she's a simple, talkative little granny. hehehe... she just told us how people find it that manila's razon's is way too different from that in pampanga. well, based from experience, that's so true. and she explained why... so based from her explanation, we got this conclusion that razon's in pampanga is the only authentic razon's there is.

after the chitchat with the star of the moment.. hehehe. we stayed for a while because we heard that rivermaya's playing. we decided to stay for a few songs to get some photo shots of it before heading back to our hotel. but to our surprise the show made us stay till the end. they played a lot of the old rivermaya set like ulan, awit ng kabataan, 214, kisapmata, hinahanap hanap kita, himala, and few of their new ones like bandila, you'll be safe here... i must admit, i like jason better as the vocals of rivermaya rather than rico blanco.. no offense michelle... hehehe... after the fun we went back to the hotel and tried sleeping as soon as we can because we need to start early for tomorrow's hot air balloon flight.

day 3. sunday.
my phone alarmed at 4:10am. sad to say i can't get my lazy ass up and told myself 5 more minutes. but then i realized the purpose of me being there so i immediately got dressed after 10 minutes. hahaha! when we got at AFC again people were piling up at the ticket booth. lucky, we bought ours the day before. as we were walking towards the open field, i'm praying hard that this time i hope i get to see them balloons fly. show was supposed to start at 5:30am. i am anxious because there were no balloons in sight. waaah! not again!?!?! but i think around 5:45 am, pickup trucks started flooding the open field carrying the deflated balloons and the host announced that the show will be starting in a few minutes... so yay! one by one, the balloons started inflating and i, of course, started taking pictures. but just like a little kid, i'm so overwhelmed of the sight that i wasn't able to take good shots... i dunno why... hahaha! but heck i sooo luuuv the experience. too bad for those who weren't able to come... *ehem* hahaha! i take shots of all the balloons, with me, with mau, and till they're flying so far away. after taking some more photos of mau carrying some deadly weapons, we looked for an atm because we
can't go home if we don't, ate at jollibee for breakfast, bought bandaids because my foot was killing me, then headed back to the hotel. we didn't get the chance to try the hotel's pool even if we got back early... why? because we love to sleep more. hahaha! after lunch, we went to the bus terminal and headed back to manila.

now who says you can't have fun at valentine's if you don't have a date? i did. with my super friends. hahaha! i just wish that next year, for another round of hot air balloon fest... may sasakyan na! hahaha! the trip was really tiring but i'm not complaining because of the fun adventure we experienced... hopefully next year din e marami na kami, again, not that i'm complaining but you know what they say... the more... the many-er?!?! ahahaha!

it seems like 2008 passed just like that... but looking back to the year that was, i realized a lot had happened, in my life at least... hehehe


* i got to experience, even for a day, being a wedding coordinator... which made me realize i might be cut for the job given more exposure, contacts, and budget...
* started at my new work
* was able to finally go to the yearly hot air balloon fest... sadly, no balloon flew... o well, this year maybe...
* had an early birthday gift for myself... my 2nd most sought after toy... PSP!
* i got to have my post birthday celebration at boracay with most of the people i wanna share the day with
* got to watch one of my all time fave series turned to film Sex and the City... twice! and lots of times from my dvd copy... hahaha!
* was able to finish GoW on my psp with a few tips and tricks from my officemates and the net... hehehe...
* went to Anawangin... one of the nicest sea/landscape i wanna visit here in the philippines
* i finally... finally got my dslr... Nik my Nikon D80 :D
* got sick from something unknown and concluded that too much chocos and coffee is a no no from now on.. boohoo! amf!
* because of the series of tests done to me caused by my unknown illness, results showed that small nodules were found in my thyroid which later on turned out to be suspected hypothyroidism by the endocrinologist which later on cleared out(hopefully for good) from the meds prescribed to me...
* from my other known illness, i recently got a very very good news... good news indeed because my test results were normal... so, yay! thank God and thanks to all who have been praying for me.. mwah!
* i got to my first ever travel abroad... although two days were kinda wasted because of the unusual downpour of rain... it was still a great experience to finally get to Singapore... for exploration not for job hunting, mind you.. hahaha!
* i finally gave in... i remember i said i am not or never will be an ipod person... apparently, i am in a state of denial then... because the moment mac released this uber thin and sleek, wifi enabled, features more like that of the iPhone gadget, i said to myself... i gotta get me one of those... and so i did... :"> aylab toch!
* got the chance to eat at places that friends were raving about:

- flapjacks
* was able to go to 2 of the greatest concert for me this year... the Eraserheads Reunion concert and Chris Brown and Rihanna's back to back.
* got to practice events photography for 2 separate kiddie birthday parties
* i started reading haruki murakami... and instantly became a fan... hehehe

... these and some other stuff that only me and myself knows made up my 2008... i wish '09 will be much better not just for me but for everybody else... happy new year!
